GLTaC recognizes that the cornerstone of our success is the skill of our translators. This is why we go to great lengths to find the most qualified native-language translators, often possessing both advanced degrees and work experience in their respective fields. Rather than rely upon non-technical external evaluations, we have our own, more stringent, internal evaluation. Each translator must complete a sample document we evaluate for:

• Spelling and grammar errors
• Consistent terminology usage
• Technical accuracy
• Conveyance of original intent
• Use of current regulatory terminology
• Compliance with current global and local regulations

Why does this matter?

A client recently stated he would not use the services of a much larger competitor for their translations again, because the first request he sent came back translated, and the project manager never asked a single question. We live in an imperfect world where regulations are changing almost daily by so many different agencies that errors, conflicting guidance and inconsistent terminology usage are quite common. In many cases, context is lacking which also drives the need for clarification. A true subject matter expert will almost always have questions during an assignment, especially if they care about their work.
